I realised that the Npp had planned something nasty yesterday in Parliament with their ‘Azugu boys’ all over the house. They wanted our Minority side to misbehave and hell will break loose in the house with these goons. Only God helped our MPs yesterday by walking out.
This E levy bill was a Do and Die matter for Nana Addo and they were prepared for anything nasty to get it through.
Ghanaians must know that our Minority side fought this bill tooth and nail for several months risking their lives.
*If anyone was compromised, there would not be an attempt by the Npp Govt to invite some of our Tamale MPs to the commissioning of the Tamale Flyover yesterday. Our MPs saw the trap and refused to go to Tamale.
*Again, If our side were compromised the Npp wouldn’t have risked to bring the sick MP in an ambulance to vote. You may say he wasnt in the ambulance but no one can tell.
*If our people had been compromised, the npp wouldn’t be in court to try and get our Assin north MP out of the house so they can pass the E levy.
Let’s look at the several traps set against our Minority MPs and how they fought their way through.
*If our MPs had been compromised they would have gotten one of our MPs who is very sick to be outside the country for treatment but then the MP had to risk his life to stay in the country all bcos of E levy.
*If our side was compromised the Npp would not be spending money holding town hall meetings just to get the E levy passed. They lobbied some Chiefs, pastors, CSO’s and media houses to push the E levy.
*Bcos of E levy some MPs fought in the house and had prepared to once again lay down their lives to save the poor tax payer.
So lets not crucify our MPs but rather praise them for standing up against these tyrants and nation wreckers.
Now the big test is at the Supreme Court. Let’s see how they depart from their earlier rulings. Its a daunting task but let our narrative be channelled to the courts and ask for nothing but fairness since we implemented their own directives. We came to them with clean hands and we demand equity.
Let’s mount pressure on them and let those who brought this E levy bill pay and suffer the consequences.
Our Minority MPs deserve a big SALUTE.
